How to get there

Flying from Europe: the fastest way to getting to Modena is flying to Bologna. From there, you can get a train to Modena (20 min) or drive (40min). Alternative options include: flying to Milan and then taking a train to Modena (1h 20 min) or car (2h 20min); or flying to Florence (1h 20min by car).

Flying from Brazil: we advise flying to Milan and getting to Modena by train (1h 20 min from Stazione Centrale) or car (2h 20min). Flying to Rome is also possible but the trip to Modena is longer (3h by train or almost 5h by car).

Common Questions

What is the dress code?

Welcome Aperitivo (Friday afternoon): Cocktail attire.

Wedding day (Saturday afternoon): Formal. Floor-length gowns or midi-dresses for women; dark suits, dark shoes and ties for men. If you are feeling fancy, tuxedos are welcome!

Be aware this part of Italy can be cold at night, even in late-summer.

Will it be an indoor or outdoor event?

Part of the service will take place in open air, which means grass and gravel floors. Hopefully we will have a great end-of-summer day for our celebration, which means temperatures as high as 25°C but that can go down to around 16°C as the night approaches.

Will there be a pre-wedding?

Yes. We’ll host an informal get-together on Friday (September 27th) in downtown Modena to kick off the festivities. More information to come soon!

Is there parking at the wedding venue?

Parking is limited to 30 cars just beside the venue (in front of church Santuario della Beata Vergine del Castello). We will provide transfers from and to Modena center (15 min drive). We will share more information on transfers a few weeks prior to the wedding.

Can I bring my kids?

We suggest attending the wedding without children so that you can relax and enjoy it to the most.

Do you recommend any beauty salons for hair and make-up?

Our local wedding planners have recommended the hair salon Identity Mood.

We’ll add more suggestions closer to the date of the wedding.

Is there a gift registry?

Clichés aside, having your presence at our wedding is more than enough. We feel very fortunate to have people coming from all over the world. We appreciate that some of you might still want to give a gift, in which case a donation towards our honeymoon would be appreciated. For that, you can find the bank details below both for Europe and Brazil.
